Let’s celebrate.
You can view the latest sgCarpool ads on Twitter.
Our Twitter page is http://twitter.com/sgcarpool .
It’s been a while since we have last updated this site. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a belated Happy New Year and Chinese New Year.
A little bird told me that sgCarpool was mentioned in the 8 Jan ‘09 Straits Times Paper (Online version via Asiaone). We would like to thank our supporters especially Michelle. ![]()
Now you can post Ads without registering. Do try this new feature.
It would be better if you leave some form of contact if you wish to be contacted.
If you see sgCarpool[Robo] appearing when doing a search do not be alarm. sgCarpool[Robo] is indeed a legimate poster created by us to help gather potential carpool leads.
Do not be alarmed if Alan adds you as a friend in facebook. We are trying to gain a foothold in facebook (ie promoting carpooling in Singapore).
As usual, we are working on some cool stuff. Do read our blogs from time to time. ![]()
A couple of sgCarpooler suggested that we should have some sort of guidelines for sharing the carpooling cost. One of them suggested this(refer to the table below) what do you guys and gals think? The price listed will be the total amount of what the driver is getting. For example, 2 passengers travel less than 10km will pay the driver $2.50 each ($5 divide by 2 passengers)
Let’s bug Alan(your exams over hahaha) with our comments. You know the drill sgcarpool@gmail.com .
| Distance Travel / No of Passenger | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| Less than 10km | $3.00 | $5.00 | $6.00 | $7.00 |
| More than 10km but less than 20km |
$4.00 | $7.00 | $8.00 | $10.00 |
| More than 20km but less than 30km |
$5.00 | $8.00 | $10.00 | $12.00 |
| Greater than 30km | $6.00 | $10.00 | $12.00 | $14.00 |
Surprised that your favorite streetdirectory.com service has been discontinued. SLA’s Map service is just not cutting it. Fret not try our customised version of Google maps. You can try it here. We are currently thinking of ways to improve it. Do try it and let your friends know. You can use sgMap to plan your routes.
We got some feedbacks that the registration process. We decided to scrap the email confirmation portion to make it easier for new sgCarpoolers to join in the fun of sharing and socialising. We are working on a couple of new and exciting features. ![]()
We got some feedbacks on this and did a minor update on our Post Ads function. Here’s a quick overview of what we did.

The green box area tells you what happens after you click on submit. Omitted fields that a required by the system or when the Ad has been successfully posted.

This is what happens if you omitted the required fields.

When the Ad has being successfully posted, a “Ad has been posted successfully” message appears with a “[View ad]” link which brings you to a page where you review your Ad.
