What is carpooling?
Carpooling is the shared use of a car in the interest of saving cost and resources.
Is sgCarpool.com free?
Yes, except for cost which the vehicle owner may want to share with you.
Usage
How do I register?
Go to http://www.sgcarpool.com/login.php. On your right there is this “Register new account” box with 4 fields that you would need to fill up to get an account.
What is my Login ID?
Your email is yout login ID.
I can’t seem to log in.
The most common mistake is the you have mis-spelled your email. Email sgcarpool@gmail.com with your Name you have entered when you register.
Can I change my name?
Unfortunately you cannot. However you can change your email and password.
Is my email visible to the public?
No. Unless you include it in the Additional information field when you post an Ad.
The response is not that good.
You can try putting your contact details like mobile phone,etc in the Additional information field. (Please note that we will not be responsible should anything happen to you.)
Where should I place my contact details in the Ad?
In the Additional Information field.
What is Bid button at the bottom of every Ad?
The Bid button is a function for those who wants to hide their email. The only way of the poster of the Ad to contact the interested parties is via the Manage Ads function.
I made a mistake on my Ad. How do I amend it?
Unfortunately you cannot. You would need to remove it in Manage Ads. Click on the checkbox on the Ad that is to be removed and click on the Remove Selected Ad button. We would be adding a “amend” button in the future.
I have Post My Ad where does it go?
Click on Search. Key in your location text in the search field. Alternatively you can do this. Click on the Search Button to view all of the Ads.
Can I use sgCarpool to share a cab? If so how?
If you are an Ad poster what you could do is to state that you are looking for someone you can share a cab with. If you are someone looking for someone to share a cab with you can use the Search function who knows you could even find a carpool group in your area.
