If for some reason you need to have access to a car why not consider renting one. It is certainly cheaper than owning one if you are just using it occasionally. Just pick up your car and return your car at your preferred location. I used a have a list of companies but I lost it in a recent harddisk crash. The one that I am most familiar with is the NTUC Income carsharing.

Imagine an electric bicycle that can reduce carbon emissions and travel at 80 km/h. The pedalling does not drives the wheels in the conventional way. Instead the pedalling powers a generator which drives an electric motor.

If you see sgCarpool[Robo] appearing when doing a search do not be alarm. sgCarpool[Robo] is indeed a legimate poster created by us to help gather potential carpool leads.

Do not be alarmed if Alan adds you as a friend in facebook. We are trying to gain a foothold in facebook (ie promoting carpooling in Singapore).

As usual, we are working on some cool stuff. Do read our blogs from time to time.

We are sadden to hear that Tagxe has ceased its operations. Ride sharing users will miss you dearly. There will always be this void that can never be filled. We like to wish the Tagxe team all the best in whatever ventures they are pursuing.

Suggested carpool pricing a good idea?

A couple of sgCarpooler suggested that we should have some sort of guidelines for sharing the carpooling cost. One of them suggested this(refer to the table below) what do you guys and gals think? The price listed will be the total amount of what the driver is getting. For example, 2 passengers travel less than 10km will pay the driver $2.50 each ($5 divide by 2 passengers)
